The Algarve is a paradise for your holidays
The Algarve is the southernmost region of Portugal and has beautiful beaches and bays.

About Carvoeiro
Praia do Carvoeiro is a small town with about 3,000 inhabitants on the Algarve. First historical references date back to 1544. For pirates Carvoeiro was then popular starting destination - for tourists today.
In Carvoeiro you will find the best parts of the rocky Algarve, such as the Algar Seco.
In addition to old fishermen's houses, the municipality of other attractions such as the Fortaleza de Nossa Senhora fort and the church of Nossa Senhora Ermida.
Because since the 60s, the community blossomed from a fishing village into a popular tourist destination, the sun-seekers, golf and water sports enthusiasts alike, and is still attracting "high-rise free."
The town of Lagoa is known for its fine wines. On a small hill, the city is surrounded by vineyards. Their white houses shining in the distance, the peaceful town is in contrast to the tourist centers on the coast of the Algarve.
Golf
The Algarve offers golfers, the amateur golfers as well the tournament players, ideal conditions year-round. In 2006 this popular holiday region featured in the Top Travel Award as best established golf destination. With over 300 days of sunshine there is a mild Atlantic climate, so that particularly during spring and autumn the perfectly manicured greens are heavily frequented. Prestigious places such as Vale de Lobo, Vilamoura or Penina are known golfers around the world.
Beaches
With a coastline of about 200 km and many sunny days throughout the year the Algarve has become one of the most popular holiday regions in Europe.
There are over 80 beaches with very clean water, great rock formations, endless sandy beaches and spectacular cliffs.
There are beaches for surfers and water sport enthusiasts, who can enjoy their hobby almost year-round. There are also handicap accessible and/or child-friendly beaches.
In 2010 69 beaches were awarded the Blue Flag by the Blue Flag Foundation. The Blue Flag is a voluntary eco-label awarded for water quality, sanitary installations, parking, beach watching and much more.
Historical attractions.
But the Algarve offers a lot of other possibilities and facilities for holidaymakers apart from golfing or sunbathing.Many historical attractions date back from their Roman and Arabic roots. Maritime places of interest tell tales of the country’s glorious seafaring past, and its Portuguese sailors who discovered far off continents.
In the still largely untouched countryside, the Monchique mountains, guests will find peace and relaxation on numerous hiking trails.
