Casa Dona Ana is a fisherman's house built in 1913, located in the heart of the historic old town of Olhão 100 meters from the sea, just behind the famous market halls. The 4.50 m high vaulted ceilings made of natural stone ensure pleasant temperatures even in summer. Windows, doors and many other old style elements have been lovingly restored. The large bedroom with a beautiful stucco vaulted ceiling has direct access to the bathroom. An intermediate room with two single beds (one on a small gallery) is connected to the same bathroom by double doors. A small salon opens from the magnificent hallway. On the first floor there is a well-equipped kitchen, a large sofa bed and another bathroom and the large terrace with table and summer kitchen. A steep outdoor staircase leads to a second floor double bedroom with shower. It offers beautiful views over the city to the sea. A cool breeze always blows here. The small terrace invites you to sunbathe and read. Another staircase leads to the spectacular roof terrace, which makes the house absolutely unique. 360 ° clear view of the entire historic old town and the church, over the market halls on the Ria Formosa and the sea to the islands of Armona and Culatra. In the evening, the swallows dance in the air, storks fly by and from a distance the carillon of the historic church sounds gently. The sun sets behind the old town and turns the sky red, creating a daily highlight of your vacation. Anyone who has been in Casa Dona Ana once does not want to leave and always comes back. Special features: Casa Dona Ana is located between two narrow streets in a car-free zone. In the parallel alley you can unload luggage and groceries to avoid long journeys. Free parking is within walking distance. If you want to travel without a car, no problem! The taxi from Faro airport costs around 20 euros. The famous market halls and the best bakery in the city can be reached in a minute on foot. It is only a five minute walk to the supermarket. Olhão offers a wide range of shops, all within walking distance. The ferry dock is about 200m away from the house. There are ferries to the islands of Culatra, Armona and Deserta, with their beautiful beaches and turquoise water.
